This position is for an individual with administrative and/or operational experience in a science or technology setting (biotechnology is preferred). This person should have experience of performing administrative tasks to support a research group. Basic responsibilities include: managing the front desk, collecting and maintaining record keeping documents, managing purchasing activities and invoices, supporting staff members on administrative and operational needs, and performing other general clerical duties, including but not limited to answering phones, making copies, and scheduling and preparing events and activities.
The candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude in supporting scientific staff and managers.
• Must be well organized and a good communicator.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Be able to perform basic inventory maintenance and account calculations.
• Pay attention to details and can multi-task.
• Be proactive with reliability and punctuality.
• Strong work ethic.
• College education preferred (not required).
• Demonstrated experience in an administrative or operational role.
• Must be a team player and well organized.
